For whoever runs a run club

Your run club lives on WhatsApp? Here is what you redo by hand every week

The group is alive, sessions fill up, and it all rests on you: the link, the poll, the count, welcoming newcomers. Buddiz takes that list over. Your WhatsApp group stays for talking.

Your week, as it really goes

Every line comes from real run club groups. You will recognise yourself.

  1. 01

    Reposting the sign-up link

What you doMonday, Tuesday, sometimes again on Wednesday morning: the same link to the same event, so latecomers can find it.

With BuddizThe Wednesday session is set once and comes back every week. Members see it in the app, and so do runners nearby.

  2. 02

Running a poll on the side

What you doThe event on one side, a "coming?" poll on the other, and two numbers that do not say the same thing.

With BuddizOne sign-up list, always up to date, which counts drop-outs too.

  3. 03

Retyping the place, time, distance and pace

What you doWith every reminder, the same four lines, so nobody has to ask.

With BuddizThe session page carries them, with the route on the map. It shares as one link.

  4. 04

    Counting, then announcing the count

What you doYou add up the answers the night before and post the total to motivate people.

With BuddizThe number of sign-ups is on the page, and the reminder goes out by itself before the start.

  5. 05

    Welcoming a newcomer

What you doYou forward them the history, and they ask in the chat how it works, whether there are several pace groups.

With BuddizThe club page and the session page answer before they ask, readable without an account. They sign up in one tap.

  6. 06

Setting up a second, women-only group

What you doA separate group, a manager, people added by hand through private messages.

With BuddizA session reserved for certified women, within the club, with no second group to run.

    How women-only sessions work

  7. 07

Leaving everyone's number visible to all

What you doWhoever joins the group sees every number, and WhatsApp itself warns when a stranger adds someone.

With BuddizNo number is ever shown. Members message each other in the app.

What WhatsApp keeps

The jokes, Sunday's photos, the shoe debates: your group is made for that, and nobody asks you to close it. Buddiz also has one chat per club and one per session, for what concerns the session: the exact time, carpooling, who is running late.

Your WhatsApp group link shows on your club page. A newcomer finds the club on Buddiz, comes once, then joins the group if they like it.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to leave WhatsApp?

No. The group stays for talking. What moves to Buddiz is the session: who is coming, where, at what time, and the reminder.

Do our members have to install one more app?

Yes, to sign up and get reminders. They join the club through a link or a QR code, in one tap. The club page can be read without an account.

We already have a recurring Strava event, what changes?

Strava counts those who have Strava. On Buddiz, the session is also seen by runners nearby who do not know the club yet, and the link to your Strava club stays on your page.

Does the club pay?

No, and it will stay that way: creating the club, setting sessions, inviting, chatting. No ads.

Who sees our sessions?

You choose, session by session: open to all, members of the club only, or by invitation.
