What is Buddiz?

The social network for sport near you

You find people at your level near you, you set a meet-up, and you meet in person to do sport together.

Around sixty runners gathered in a car park at the edge of a forest, just before heading off for a run together

How it works

01

Find people

People at your level, groups and clubs near you, in your sport.

02

Set a meet-up

Suggest a meet-up, or join one in a tap: place, time, level and who is coming, all in one place.

03

Meet in person

On the court, on the road or on the trail. And the conversation carries on in the app for next time.

Who is it for?

Every level, beginners included

Just starting, getting back into it or training for years: you find people who go at your pace, and nobody owes anyone an explanation.

Seven sports

The ones you play together, close to home:

  • Padel
  • Tennis
  • Running
  • 5-a-side football
  • Hiking
  • Cycling
  • Fitness

Solo, with friends or with a club

Come alone and find partners, bring your friends, or keep your club going: its members, its meet-ups, its chat.

A real social network

A feed to see what people around you are up to, follows to keep up with the people you click with, messages to get organised, and clubs to join.

Nobody here looks at your time

Seeing other people's times can make you doubt yourself, to the point of not daring to show up. On Buddiz, nobody compares, people meet up: every level, beginners included.

Before: Buddiz

Find people at your level near you, set a meet-up and get organised without the hassle.

After: Strava, Garmin

Track your times, distances and progress. They do it very well, so we don't redo it.

Built to work with them

  • Your Buddiz profile can show a link to your Strava profile.
  • A route exported from Strava as a GPX file imports into Buddiz.
  • For running, hiking and cycling, the route exports as a GPX file for your Garmin or COROS watch.

When motivation drops, other people keep you going

When the days get shorter and motivation drops, that is often when people give up. Together, you keep at it: someone is waiting for you, so you go.

You keep it up

A meet-up planned with others actually happens, even when it gets dark early and the sofa is calling.

You meet people

People from your area and at your level, people you click with. New in town or getting back into sport, you are no longer doing it alone.

You look after yourself

Moving and seeing people, two things that do you good, and sport together brings them both.

One person in six worldwide feels lonely, and the WHO treats loneliness as a public health issue (WHO, 2025).

Your phone often pulls you away from real life. Buddiz uses it to bring you back.

Free for athletes

Buddiz is free for athletes, and it will stay that way: signing up, finding partners, setting meet-ups, chatting, joining a club.

Questions we get asked

What is Buddiz?

A free social network for sport, on iOS and Android. You find people at your level near you (padel, tennis, 5-a-side football, running, hiking, cycling, fitness), you set a meet-up, and you meet in person.

Does it cost anything?

No. Buddiz is free for athletes, and it will stay that way. Only registered organisations (associations or companies with a French SIREN number) can charge for a meet-up they organise, and the price is then shown.

Does Buddiz replace Strava?

No, they complement each other. Strava tracks your performance once the effort is over; Buddiz comes in before, to find who to do sport with and get organised. Your Buddiz profile can show a link to your Strava profile.

Do I need a good level?

No. You find people who go at your pace, beginners included. Nobody here looks at your time: nobody compares, people meet up.
