How it works
01
Say you're a woman
In your profile, if you haven't already.
02
Certify your profile
A short video of your face, compared with your profile photo on your phone (no video is sent). Women-only sessions then show up around you.
03
Join or start one
Join a session near you, or create your own and choose "women only". Other women nearby will see it.
What's actually kept private
Hidden from men
A women-only session doesn't show up for men: not in lists, not on the map, not through a shared link. The rule is enforced by our servers, not just by the screen.
Certified profiles
Only women with a certified profile can see these sessions and join them: their photo has been compared with their face. You know what the people you're meeting look like.
Told as soon as there's one
Turn on the alert: Buddiz lets you know as soon as a women-only session is posted near you.
You won't be the only one
Since 1 July 2026, 49.9% of new Buddiz members are women (figures as of October 19, 2026). Read the press release
Which sports
Running, hiking, cycling and fitness offer the "women only" option. Padel, tennis and 5-a-side football don't have it yet.
Frequently asked questions
Is it free?
Yes. Joining or starting a women-only session is free, like everything else in the app for people who play sport.
Why do I need to certify my profile?
So everyone knows who they're meeting. Certification compares a short video of your face with your profile photo, on your phone. No video is sent: only a verification photo is kept privately, and it's never shown to other members.
Does certification prove someone is a woman?
No, and we'd rather say so. It proves the profile photo really shows the person, so you see who you're meeting before you go. If a profile looks suspicious, report it from their profile: our team reviews every report.
Can a man find out where we're meeting?
No. For a man, the session doesn't exist: he can't see its title, its place or who's going, even with the link.
There are no women-only sessions near me
Start the first one: choose "women only" when you create a running, hiking, cycling or fitness session. You can also turn on the alert to hear as soon as someone else posts one.
Can I still do sport with everyone?
Of course. Women-only sessions come on top of the others, they don't replace them: you join the ones that suit you, mixed or not.
Your next session is waiting
Buddiz is free on iPhone and Android, with no ads.
